Stargate High School Career Night

Mark your calendar for January 24th for our Stargate High School career nights. Speakers will be selected based on student feedback about careers they're interested in pursuing. Career nights are open to current 9th, 10th and 11th grade students. Watch for more details closer to the event date.

Share Your Insights via the Annual Stakeholder Survey

Make your voice heard. The annual Parent Stakeholder Satisfaction Survey is open until Jan. 19 to all Stargate parents. Results and recommendations are shared each spring with the Board and our Stargate community as one measure of progress toward the school's performance goals.

Each family that completes the anonymous survey is eligible to enter a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.Just print the confirmation page after you've completed the survey. Write your child’s name and teacher’s name for Elementary, grade for Secondary on the page and return it to the front desk or send it to class with your student. For more information, visit the Accountability Committee announcement on the Governance website.

Support the Annual Campaign

A great school requires support from an engaged community. We've set a 100% participation goal this year for the Annual Campaign. To learn more about all the ways you can help Stargate continue to provide a unique learning environment for our gifted children, visit our Fundraising page, or check out our Campaign FAQs. Our annual campaign runs through the entire 2017-2018 school year. You can make a one-time donation or set up monthly recurring donations using our secure Onlinde Donations site or drop off a check made out to "Stargate" at either front office.

December News from the Stargate Board

The Board has had multiple discussions over the past couple of months via special business meetings to review the current operations structure as well to promote academic growth and ensure instruction towards mastery. In response to indicators related to test scores as well as ongoing adjustments to our growth with the addition of a high school, the Board has tasked the administrative team to do an extensive review of our curriculum and instructional practices to proactively develop a clear plan for a guaranteed viable curriculum that meets the best needs of our community. The Board will keep the community up to date as more information is available. We invite you to attend our State of the School presentation in April for a more formal update. Visit the Governance site for a Board meeting update from Jan Kulmann, Stargate Board President.

Parking and Traffic Reminders

With construction now underway on the Stargate Performing Arts and Adroit Space, its important to remember traffic rules. To help everyone stay safe during pick up and drop off, please review the parking and traffic reminders emailed to parents Nov. 6. The information includes a traffic map and highlights designated parking areas. If you have any questions, email info@stargateschool.org.

Charter 101 - Membership in a Charter School Community

Charter schools like Stargate succeed when there's a strong partnership between parents, teachers, students and the broader community. Our unique learning environment requires commitments from community members that may go beyond expectations for a traditional boundary school. For more information about what it means to belong to our charter school community at Stargate, visit the "Charter 101" section on the Governance website.

Congratulations - John J. Irwin School of Excellence Award

Congratulations to our entire community. Stargate recently received its 16th consecutive John J. Irwin Award for excellent academic achievement. The school has earned the award every year since 2000.
