Charter Renewal Information

As a charter school, Stargate must periodically renew its contract with the Adams 12 Five Star School District.  During the 2018-19 school year, we are due to renew our charter. We submitted our Charter Renewal Application on September 10, 2018.  The next steps will involve tours of the school and recommendations on our application to the Adams 12 Board of Education by the District Accountability Committee and the Adams 12 staff.  Those recommendations will be made at the regular business meetings of the Adams 12 Board of Education on December 19, 2018  and January 9, 2019.  It would be wonderful to have a large presence of our Stargate Community so the Board can see how many people love having Stargate as a school of choice for their children.  You can choose to speak during the open mic at the beginning of the meeting or just be present so they can see what a strong community we have. Thank you for showing your support for our wonderful school!

Fundraising Committee Updates

9/24 - 10/5 Box Tops for Education, Longmont Dairy Milk Caps and Tyson Labels contest: Gather all of the Box Tops for Education, Longmont Dairy Milk Caps and Tyson labels that you've been collecting all summer, put them in a plastic bag (include the name of your child's homeroom teacher) and drop them off in the main collection box near the K-5 front desk, secondary front desk OR deliver to your child's homeroom teacher (for K-5). Each of these items earns our school $$. The winning K-5 class for each category (Box Tops and Longmont Dairy Milk Caps for the Fall; Tyson labels contest will carry over to the Spring) will earn an Ice Cream Sundae or Root Beer Float party. King Soopers Fundraising cards

Support Stargate fundraising efforts by purchasing a Stargate reloadable King Soopers gift card.   These cards, pre-loaded with $5.00, will be available for purchase at the Stargate Secondary front office. Every time you reload the card King Soopers will donate 5% of the re-loaded amount to Stargate (at no cost to you). You can even reload directly at the register before you purchase your items. Use the cards to do your grocery shopping or purchase gas to support your school while you shop.  This is a way for King Soopers to encourage shoppers to patronize their store, and also for them to support non-profit organizations. For more information, click here.

If 300 Stargate families reloaded their cards with $200 each month to use on groceries and/or gas, our school will earn $3,000/month which means $36,000/year! This is one of the easiest ways to help Stargate earn $$!!!

Community Relations Committee

CRC would like to thank all of the wonderful volunteers who made Harry Potter Night such a success! (Did you know that  that Hufflepuff won!) Thank you for your help and support. Our next meeting is October 10th at 8:15 at Daylight Donuts. We will be in the midst of Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences where we supply meals using the funds from CRC fee

At the end of every school year, the CRC meets to decide the following year's events. This past year, there was no representation for Chili Cook Off so it was not put on the Calendar. However, since the start of the school year, many people have approached various committee members to express the desire for this event. What it boils down to at this point is that we'd have to swap it out with another planned event which is DodgeBall. We do not have any intention of swapping out events year after year so going forward we would appreciate your attendance at the end-of-school-year meeting if there is an event you absolutely want to have and will volunteer to either run or help out at.  We would like to hear from you -- here is a link to a google form to see what the community wants.

Please keep in mind that we are a much larger community now so the need for Volunteers has grown as well. You will see questions regarding volunteering. Thanks for your input!
