11/8 - Skate City (Grades K-5)

Catch the Skate City Fun Bus and get a free ride to your school party. The bus will pick up K-5 students at the school by 3:30pm. This is a ONE-WAY ONLY trip. All parents MUST pick up students at Skate City by 6pm!

Please send in your completed permission slip EARLY to secure your spot on the bus!

Parents worried about kids losing/forgetting their CASH the day of the event can turn in a labeled envelope attached to the permission slip. Cash will then be passed back to the kids once they are lined up at Skate City. Students are encouraged to bring extra money if they wish to purchase food/drinks, as they are NOT included with admission.

This is not a district bus  and while there will be parents riding the Skate City Fun Bus, it is not an official Stargate chaperoned event.

Flyers can be found here.

**K-5 Parents let the office know if you are interested in volunteering!**

King Soopers Fundraising cards

Support Stargate fundraising efforts by purchasing a Stargate reloadable King Soopers gift card.   These cards, pre-loaded with $5.00, will be available for purchase at the Stargate Secondary front office. Every time you reload the card King Soopers will donate 5% of the re-loaded amount to Stargate (at no cost to you). You can even reload directly at the register before you purchase your items. Use the cards to do your grocery shopping or purchase gas to support your school while you shop.  This is a way for King Soopers to encourage shoppers to patronize their store, and also for them to support non-profit organizations. For more information, click here.

If 300 Stargate families reloaded their cards with $200 each month to use on groceries and/or gas, our school will earn $3,000/month which means $36,000/year! This is one of the easiest ways to help Stargate earn $$!!!

Fundraising Allocation Committee

Who are we?  We are a committee made up of, two board members, two parent volunteers, the principal of the secondary school, the principal of the elementary school, and the high school class president.

What do we do?  We allocate the money that is raised through the Fundraising Committee.

When do we allocate the money?  As a committee we read and go over every request that is made by students, teachers, staff and the Stargate community and decide.  This will happen as often as a request is made.

With the 2018-2019 Fall Fundraiser in motion, there have been questions about where does the money go that is raised, how is it used?  So far, this academic year the following request have been made and granted:

  • Nikon cameras, and all the photography equipment needed to start up a photography class and club in the high school.

  • Cheerleading mats for the up and coming Cheerleading squad for Stargate High School

  • Software so Stargate can use 3D educational tools to better visualize concepts.

  • Event size barbeque grill for Adroit Day, Spirit Days, International Day etc.

  • Leveled guided reading books for 1/2 classes

The possibilities are endless of what Stargate needs, wants or dreams of.  The Fundraising Committee is made up of all parent volunteers, who work tirelessly to ensure that we have ways to earn money so that we can have the exceptional school that we do.  The funds are available to ensure that the school has what it needs to give the students, staff and community an education that is amazing!

How do you request funds?

Charter Renewal Information

As a charter school, Stargate must periodically renew its contract with the Adams 12 Five Star School District.  During the 2018-19 school year, we are due to renew our charter. We submitted our Charter Renewal Application on September 10, 2018.  The next steps will involve tours of the school and recommendations on our application to the Adams 12 Board of Education by the District Accountability Committee and the Adams 12 staff.  Those recommendations will be made at the regular business meetings of the Adams 12 Board of Education on December 19, 2018  and January 9, 2019.  It would be wonderful to have a large presence of our Stargate Community so the Board can see how many people love having Stargate as a school of choice for their children.  You can choose to speak during the open mic at the beginning of the meeting or just be present so they can see what a strong community we have. Thank you for showing your support for our wonderful school!
