  • Canned Green Beans

  • Instant Potatoes

  • Boxes of Stuffing

Volunteers Needed!

The Specials team is in need of some parent volunteers in the classroom. Volunteers are needed in Adroit, Spanish, Technology and Art.

Adroit- Please use the following link to sign up to volunteer in Adroit:

Spanish - Please use the following link to sign up to volunteer in Adroit:

Technology - Please use the following link to sign up to volunteer in Technology:

Art - For those that would like to volunteer in Art, please read the following information and email Arrilla Beatty directly at arrilla.beatty@stargateschool.org if you are able to volunteer.

All Art volunteers will need to be able to:

  • Attend a 20 minute volunteer training with me before assisting in the classroom

  • Remain calm in a noisy classroom with lots of messes

  • Art background is not required, but greatly appreciated!

  • Comfortable with cleaning, organizing, and refilling supplies as needed

Other tasks that Mrs. Beatty will sometimes need assistance with include; hanging artwork out in the hall, cutting paper, or refilling glazes. Please know that although these aren’t the most exciting things,  it is extremely helpful. When you are here, my focus is on the kids and teaching the art curriculum. Please know that my responsibility and attention will be 100% focused on the students. This can be a very loud environment when kids are actively engaged in projects. Please know that it is important for volunteers to be prepared for that, and to understand that the art room isn’t always a typical classroom because it is a place where students are more freely expressing themselves.

Pokemon Cards

The school has decided that no Pokemon cards should be coming to school with students. These cards have been causing a distraction to learning and we would like to ask that you help enforce keeping them at home.  We will start a Pokemon Club with the next round of club offerings because we know how much the students love trading them and several friendships have been made during the process. Thank you for your support in this matter!

K-5 Yearbook needs your pictures!

Shutterfly sites have been setup for all the homeroom teachers to collect photos for the yearbook. You can find links to student’s homeroom teacher’s site on his/her web page, under “Yearbook Photo Contribution”. These sites are where 90% of the yearbook pictures come from and we only have 9 more weeks of school to work on this year’s yearbook. We are looking for: Grand opening, back to school, field trips, concerts, class parties and any other school celebrations.
