Picture Day - September 12

Picture Day for K-5 students is scheduled for September 14. For those who are new to Stargate there are typically two different picture days during the school year. In the Fall, students take individual pictures and then in the Spring, class photos will be taken with homeroom classes. Order forms will be sent home in Monday folders.


Curriculum Night - September 14

Curriculum Night is a great opportunity to meet your student’s teachers and hear about what they will learn during the school year. We look forward to seeing you!

  • 5:00 - 6:00 PM Kindergarten and 3/4

  • 6:30 -7:30 PM 1/2 and 5th


Talent Show

The Elementary K-5 Talent Show, hosted by Mr. Osburn, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. We hope you will be able to attend and support all of our talented students.


WATCH D.O.G.S. Program

We are excited to launch our WATCH D.O.G.S. Program for 2017-2018 school year! Several parents have expressed interest in the program and we would like to invite all Dads to attend an orientation meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 21 at 5:30 pm in the K-5 Building in Ms. Wiley’s classroom. There will be a brief overview of the program and overall expectations, a tour of the buildings on campus, and pizza will be served. We hope to see you all there. The online sign-up system will be ready after the meeting for those that would like to volunteer. Please review the link below for more information about the WATCH D.O.G.S. Program.

Testing/Placements

Thank you to the students and teachers for their hard work to get all the various assessments completed over the past week and a half. They have been taking both formal and informal assessments in reading, writing, and mathematics to ensure the students are appropriately placed in literacy and math.


Student placements are based on multiple data points and we appreciate your support and flexibility as we work towards the best needs-based ability groups possible.


Clubs

After school clubs will being the week of September 12. Information and sign-ups will be coming soon.


After School Supervision for Siblings and Carpools

Elementary students who have siblings in the Secondary Building may wait with staff supervision in the elementary building from 3PM until 3:35PM (1:30-2:05 on Wednesdays) where they may read, do homework, or play on their electronic devices. Complete this online form to register your student.  The students must be picked up either inside the building or at the pick up/drop off curb by 3:45PM (2:15 on Wednesdays) by either an adult or the sibling/carpool they are waiting for.  Students not picked up by that time will be sent to Eagle's Landing at the drop in fee. There will be a $20 monthly charge per student to staff this additional service. This fee will be assigned to your Student's Infinite Campus  Account, payable on payforit.net and is due the first of each month.

Hot lunch is provided in the Elementary building by My Kids Lunch.

Elementary Friday Pizza Day Volunteers

We are in need of parent volunteers to help prepare and serve food to our students on Fridays.  The hours will be 10:00 am to 12:30 pm.  If you are interested, please sign up HERE on the day(s) that will work best for you. Thank you for your support! It’s a great time to connect with the students.

Accountability Committee (SAC) Elections – Nominations open for the Accountability Committee (SAC) this Friday, September 1. If you are interested in running or aren’t sure what the SAC does, come to their next meeting, THIS Thursday, August 31 at 6:30 in the Secondary Conference Room. We will also be having open to answer questions NEXT Thursday, September 7 at the Starbucks at the Orchard between 8 – 9:30 am.
