Math Program Exploration for K-5

Elementary teachers and admin have been exploring the possibility of transition to a unified K-5 Math Curriculum. The goal is to find a rigorous and challenging program that meets the needs of all of our varying ability groups, provides online resources/support for parents, 21st century manipulatives and the ability to assess for learning. Ms. Blamires, Mrs. Blackmon, and I will be hosting a parent engagement evening to review Go Math which is the favorite amongst the teachers. The math exploration evening is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM in the Elementary Commons. We will also discuss this at Coffee with C this coming Thursday morning at 8:30 AM.

Planning for Next Year

The teachers are busy getting ready for next school year with homeroom placements and MAPS end-of-the-year assessments. Hard to believe there are only seven weeks left of school.
