It’s the Great American Eclipse Day!

What a great start to the school year! Thanks to all of our teachers and staff for their hard work and preparation getting our students back into the school routine. The secondary students participated in our Flight School which is two days of team building, learning the Stargate Way and acclimation to middle and high school. Thanks to our Flight Crew (11th grade student leaders) led by Ms. Krill and Ms. Walsh who led the activities and helped the 6th and 9th graders during their orientation on Wednesday.

While we know the parking situation is not currently ideal, we are working with the owners of the corner parcel (4.5 acres) that is planned to be developed into usable retail/food/preschool and the City of Thornton on the widening of 144th Ave. While there is not a quick, or cheap fix, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please remember that the best option is to use the loop and drop your child off at the curb.

  • Please remember to pull completely forward.

  • Use the right lane to drop at the K-5.

  • Use the left lane to merge after the VIP spots and drop off at the secondary.

  • The VIP parking spots are an auction item from our annual Gala and are not to be parked in at anytime.

Lost and Found - No matter how old (or responsible) your child is, please write their name on the items they bring to school daily! This will help with our overflowing collection pile and allow the water bottles, coats and lunchboxes to find their owners.

High School Ultimate Frisbee - Sign up here - Stargate is starting a High School Coed Ultimate Frisbee Club this Fall!  Join us next Thursday, August 24th at 4 PM on the East Soccer Field  for an introductory practice session that will cover the fundamental aspects and skills of playing Ultimate Frisbee.  Parents of any interested students are invited to an informational meeting directly following the practice at 6 PM.   This Club is open to both female and male High School students regardless of athletic ability.  Hope to see you on the field!

Elementary Girls on the Run - Attention 3rd-5th grade girls! Girls on the Run is back for a second season and we are excited for another great year! Girls on the Run is an amazing empowerment program for girls of any ability level who want to learn about friendships, confidence, self-esteem, decision-making, and other great life skills in a positive, energetic, fun-filled environment.  The girls learn these skills while training for a 5K which we complete together at the end of the season.  So come walk, run, skip, or dance your way to a healthy and happy season with us:)  The season runs Sept. 11th-Nov. 13th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-4:30 and costs $170.  Scholarships are available so don't let cost prohibit you! Registration is now open at  www.girlsontherunrockies.org.  For questions, please contact Theresa Grzebinski at magpiefoy@yahoo.com
