Happy April! I hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break and got some well deserved rest and time with the family. We took a quick trip to see the Great Grandparents in sunny Southern California! It was so nice to recharge the batteries and gear up for the last 37 days of school!

Adroit Day is coming! Mark your calendars for April 19th. Our students will be presenting their passion projects for the entire community to enjoy.

The Expo Day will be an abbreviated schedule with a bring your own sack lunch picnic for all. Students will be sent to designated areas outside in the quad between the three buildings. We will have tables where they can set up their materials and present EXPO style. While half of the school is presenting, the other half will be visiting their peers to see what great projects they have come up with.

This will be a regular Wednesday start with students going to homeroom @ 8:05am (K-5) and Advance Teacher 8:15am (Secondary).

The Expo will run in 2 sessions with an all school sack lunch picnic from 12:30PM - 1:20PM. Students can bring their own lunch or order one through My Kids Lunch. Regular Wednesday dismissal - 1:30PM for K-5 & 2:05PM for Secondary.

Middle School Tech Free Thursday

Beginning this Thursday, and for the remainder of the year, we are implementing Middle School Tech Free Thursday before school and at lunch. This will not impact classes and students will still be expected to have their computers in class, ready to use when directed.

Before school and at lunch we are going to encourage all middle school students to have conversations with their classmates and/or go outside rather than use technology. If your student tends to spend lunch time on their computer, please have a conversation with them about what else they can do on Thursday. You can suggest that they bring a deck of cards to play or take a walk around the grassy quad area between all the buildings. You can give them some conversation starters or encourage them to learn one new thing about each of their friends each Thursday.

CMAS - 8th Grade

Next week, all 8th grade students will take the Science CMAS assessment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please click here for exact dates and times.

Gianna Borzileri (8th grade) and several athletes representing Colorado traveled to Staten Island New York and competed in the USATF Hershey National Indoor Track and Field Championship last weekend.   Gianna succeeded in beating her own personal records (PR) in the 55M, 200M and the 400M.  Approximately 2,700 youths attended the national meet.
