It has been an amazing last few weeks at our School! Our students and staff have been very busy and we are so thrilled to share many of their successes with you!

  • Monday April 16th, our staff hosted Dr. Patricia Gatto-Walden ‘Educating the Whole Gifted Child.’

  • April 17th - 20th Mr. Sergeeff, our talented students and over 1400 guests attended 4 sold out shows of the incredible performance of Grease!

  • April 18th The World Language Department hosted the 2nd annual International Festival with hundreds of students displaying food, facts, history and culture for their peers and parents to enjoy.

  • 4/19 our Learning Services hosted a dyslexia simulation.

  • 4/19 the HS band and orchestra earned top honors at CHSAA music festival in Pueblo.

  • 4/21 91 Students danced the night away at our first ever Prom! Later that same evening our incredible parent volunteers transformed our gym into a circus for our students to enjoy a safe and welcoming After Prom.

  • 4/21 The Middle School Science Olympiad team placed 5th at the state competition! The 15 members of the team worked extremely hard and represented Stargate very well by placing in the top ten for the first time in school history.

  • 4/23-4/27 Our librarians and awesome parent volunteers held our annual spring book fair which helps raise funds for additional  books and resources to our library.

  • 4/24 Our Elementary staff along with Ms. Blamires and Mrs. Hischke presented their work on our K-5 curriculum alignment project. Let your voice be heard by completing their online survey

  • 4/25 5th graders attended the 9th Annual Colorado Rockies Weather & Science Day at Coors Field. The Rockies teamed up with 9News, Steve Spangler Science, Lockheed Martin and Colorado State University to incorporate physics, math and meteorology into a fun event before the game.

  • 4/26 Eighth grade students traveled back in time to 1863 and recreated the Battle of Chickamauga. The students joined their peers from Century and Westgate for a day filled of history and fun where the South beat the Union Army in this recreation of a Civil War battle.

  • 4/27 Over 1350 students, staff and community members showed off their passion in our 2nd annual Adroit Expo! The bands, food trucks, projects, sun and smiles made this incredible day one we will never forget! Thanks to everyone who supported our students in their endeavors as they we work to be Adroit in all that we do at Stargate!

  • Tonight our 5th grade Battle of the Books team will take on the district at Meridian Elementary. These voracious readers won the school based competition last week and are ready to dominate! In March, our Middle School Battle of the Books team took 1st Place at the district competition.

  • All this week you can walk the halls to see thousands of pieces of student art! Our incredible Art Teachers  are hosting a special reception this Thursday at 6pm. Visit both buildings to see inspiring student work.

  • Friday is the regular season finale for our HS Girls Soccer team; they take on Grand Junction Central at 4PM at Home. Come out and cheer them on as they are very close to qualifying for State! Coed Track and Field has a variety of athletes that are also very close to qualifying for the State Meet. Head out to Echo Park in Parker on Saturday May 5th to cheer them on!

It is surreal to think we are in the last month of school and have many upcoming events and activities where we hope to see you! Field Day, sporting events, music concerts, awards nights, assemblies, board meetings, KG Graduation and 8th grade Continuation!

Have a great week!

Host Families Needed

Open your heart and home to the world!  Host families are needed for the 2018-2019 school year for exchange students from around the world!  This year Stargate has been home to three exchange students and they have all thoroughly enjoyed their experience!  We would love to place more students at Stargate for next year but are in need of host families! All of our students come with insurance, spending money, and the desire to learn about the U.S.  Please contact Rachel at 303-916-6781 for more information about hosting!
