Field Trips

Our 6th grade students and chaperones had a great time at Keystone Science School last week. Thanks to all the teachers and parent chaperones for making this a great week for our students.

We have several field trips coming up over the next month. Specific information and a permission slip  for each trip will be coming home with your students. Please remember to cancel your student’s lunch at least 48 hours in advance if you have ordered it for a field trip day.

Our field trips are outlined below:

7th Grade - Camp Cheley October 3rd-5th

8th Grade - Camp Cheley October 5th-7th

9th Grade - College Visit - Metropolitan State University - September 20th

10th Grade - College Visit - CU Boulder - September 20th

High School students going on a college visit field trip tomorrow will need to bring a lunch with them.

Curriculum Night

Our Secondary (6th - 10th grade) curriculum night will take place on Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 20th from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Curriculum Night is a parent event and due to limited space in each classroom, please plan to attend without your student. During this time you will follow your student’s class schedule, giving you chance to meet your student’s teachers and hear a little about each class. In order to expedite the process of getting everyone to their first period class, please bring your student’s class schedule.  We will have student schedules available if needed. The schedule for the evening is outlined below:

5:30 PM - 5:38 PM - Period 1

5:43 PM - 5:51 PM - Period 2

5:56 PM- 6:04 PM - Period 3

6:09 PM - 6:17 PM - Period 4

6:22 PM - 6:30 PM - Period 5

6:35 PM - 6:43 PM - Period 6

6:48 PM - 6:56 PM - Period 7

If you student’s schedule has an A/B day designation for a certain period of the day, please plan to meet in room 155 to hear from both A and B day teachers during that time.

As we wait for the field house to be complete, all health and PE classes will meet in the lower north hallway for curriculum night.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Parent/teacher conferences will be open house format on Oct. 12th and 13th from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Please plan to attend one of these evenings to talk one-on-one with your student’s teachers.

Fall Fundraiser

Our fall fundraiser will kick off on September 22nd. We’ll be selling magazines, dry cookie dough and Love Bags. What’s a Love Bag, you ask? Love Bags are reusable bags with style. There are over 90 bags to choose from so you are certain to find something for everyone. Our fundraiser will run from September 14th through October 3rd . At the end of the fundraiser prizes will be given based on quantity of items sold, including “Principal for a Day” for the top seller, a chance to attend our mobile video game party for everyone who sells at least 2 items, our "Limo To Lunch "experience and other exciting prizes! Sales for magazines and Love bags can be made online or with the paper order form that will be sent home. The online websites are: www.APMags.com or www.love-fundraising.com and the school ID is: HelpStargate. One of the keys to a successful Magazine fundraiser is to invite people to renew current magazine subscriptions through Stargate. We appreciate your support of this critical fundraiser -- we could not do it without you!
