Hello Stargate families,

It is hard to believe this is our last week with this senior class. I want to give a special thank you to our senior students and families for many great years. It has been incredible watching these students develop and mature in to young adults. I appreciate our senior families for giving back so much to Stargate over the years. Best wishes Stargate High School Class of 2019!

Senior Recognition Night May 16th

At the Senior Recognition Night on Thursday, May 16th at 6:00 pm, we will recognize high school seniors receiving department awards, extra curricular awards and cum laude honors. We will notify the family of each student receiving an award by May 13th but everyone is welcome to attend.

Secondary Finals May 20th-23rd

In an effort to maximize student success and minimize student stress and anxiety, our finals schedule is spread-out over four days. Monday, May 20th will be a normal dismissal at 3:40pm. Tuesday, May 21st and  Wednesday, May 22nd will be a 2:10pm dismissal, and Thursday, May 23rd will be an 11:30am dismissal. Also, please remember that students do not have class on Friday, May 24th. Parent/Guardian tips for Finals Week

1. Be sure your student has a balance of studying and down time leading up to and during finals week

2. Help ensure your student is getting plenty of sleep each night

3. Help ensure your student eats a healthy, balanced breakfast each morning

4. Send a healthy snack that your student can eat between finals each morning


Late/Missing Work Submission Deadline-Thursday, May 16th

In an effort to allow students and staff to focus on finals, all missing and late work must be submitted by the end of the school day on Thursday, May 16th. Teachers will not accept missing or late work after the deadline.

After Prom Fundraiser Plants

Plants from the After Prom fundraiser will arrive, Thursday, May 9th. Your plants can be picked up outside Stargate between the Elementary and the Secondary buildings, Thursday, May 9th, from 2:30pm - 4:30pm. There will be extra pots and hanging plants for sale ($45 each).  Thank you for your support.


Please join us at the Stargate Performing Arts Theater on Monday, May 20th from 6-8pm for our first ever Film Festival! We'll showcase our student's short films and have brief Q&A sessions after each. Admission is free! We're very excited to share these films with the Stargate community. Middle School Summer Fitness Fun Program

Stargate Middle School introduces, for the second year, its Middle School Summer Fitness Fun Program. This program is available to all incoming 6th, 7th and 8th grade Stargate students for the months of June and July. The program is geared toward multiple aspects of athletic development and fitness over the summer months. The cost of the program is $75 per person. Training days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9:00am- 10:30am. The $75 fee covers all 28 training sessions! High School Summer Strength and Conditioning Program

Looking for a great way to improve athletic performance or stay fit and active over the summer months?  Stargate High School Summer Strength and Conditioning program is available to all Stargate High School students that are incoming freshmen through seniors during June and July.  The program is geared toward all aspects of athletic development and improved fitness. The goal of our Strength & Conditioning Program is to provide students and athletes the best opportunity to improve their athletic performance and fitness over the summer months. The cost of the full summer is $75 per person.  Training days will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, from 8:00am-9:30am. The $75 fee covers all 28 training sessions!

Middle School Science Olympiad State Competition Results

The Middle School Science Olympiad Team beat 16 teams from across the state.  Competing at the State Level is incredibly challenging! They learned some things about teamwork, organization, and perseverance, as well as some cool science of course.

Here are just some highlights from the State Level Competition:

  • Lynne Nguyen and Hetasri Galla - 5th place in Herpetology, 5th place in Density Lab, 8th place in Anatomy

  • Reese Bush - 6th place in Heredity, and 10th place in Write It Do It

  • Chanda Kumar and Sanvi Tummalapenta - 12th place in Water Quality, and 13th place in Fossils

  • Anushka Udeshi - 12th place in Potions and Poisons, 13th place in Experimental Design

  • Laya Palutla - 10th place in Write It Do It, 12th place in Potions and Poisons

  • Senan Heys and Conor McVeigh- 13th place in Experimental Design, 14th place in Road Scholar

  • Hannah French  and Tasso Leontaritis - 15th place in Battery Buggy

USA Gymnastics Champ

Congratulations to Nicholas Kastner! He took 1st place in the level 6 division 1 boys  USA gymnastics regionals. The region covers 4 states: Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico. Way to go Nicholas!
