Musical

Our Beauty in the Beast musical production last week was outstanding. I am so proud of all of our students involved: the cast, the set designers, the stage crew, the sound crew, the light crew, and everyone else involved. Watch for more information on our Stargate webpage with pictures and videos. Thank you to all involved for providing such an wonderful community event with four sold out shows!

Drop Off and Pick Up

We would like to bring everyone's attention back to safety during morning drop off and afternoon pick up.  There are many kids, ages five and up, walking through the parking lots during pickup and drop off and your full attention to these kids while driving is of utmost importance. Please also remember that you are setting an example for our students with how you drive and how you treat others. Please avoid distracted driving and treating others poorly. If you pick up your student and notice that they are navigating the parking lot in an unsafe manner, please address this with them. Thank you for your help and attention to ensure the safety of all students.

PARCC Testing

I want to thank everyone for an extremely successful week of PARCC testing last week. Students were responsible and had their devices charged and ready each day of the test.  Students also worked hard to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in Math and English/Language Arts.

National Geographic Bee

Jamie Lame has qualified to compete in the state level competition of the National Geographic Bee!

The Colorado State Bee will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017.

State Knowledge Bowl

Please join me in congratulating our state Knowledge Bowl students.  They've put in nearly a hundred hours of practices, six Saturday tournaments, and now a state tournament...Sixty of the state's 143 KB teams qualified to attend the two-day state tournament. Stargate's team was tied or in first place in their classification up until nearly the very end. After all was done, our students won 2nd place in state in their classification and placed 7th out of all 60 teams, regardless of school size (and grade of participants!). Come check out the trophy in the front office!

Passion Project "Drive Week"

All students who would like to hold a "Drive" to collect items for their passion project will do so during "Drive Week" April 3rd - April 7th. Students on the Move

Gianna Borzileri (8th grade) and several athletes representing Colorado traveled to Staten Island New York and competed in the USATF Hershey National Indoor Track and Field Championship in March.   Gianna succeeded in beating her own personal records (PR) in the 55M, 200M and the 400M.  Approximately 2,700 youths attended the national meet. The three-day event resulted in 70 pending meet records and an inspiring look at the future stars of USA Track and Field nationwide. Congratulations Gianna and all the Colorado athletes!

Lost and Found

Please check out the lost and found tables in both buildings.  Unclaimed lost and found items will be donated over Spring Break.
