Prom-Last Week To Buy Tickets

This year we will have our first ever Junior/Senior Prom. This event is available to our current Juniors and each Junior may bring one high school aged guest. It will take place at the Stonebrook Manor in Thornton from 8pm-11pm on April 21. The theme will be A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Tickets are currently on sale for $45 per ticket and Friday, March 23 is the LAST day to buy tickets.. Included in the Prom ticket price will be admission to the After Prom event in the Stargate Fieldhouse hosted by our parent After Prom Committee. The After Prom event will be 11pm-2am.

Stargate's First Annual After-Prom Party:

Grab an extra cup of coffee and come volunteer for Stargate's first After-Prom Party.  The After-Prom will be Saturday, April 21st from 11pm - 2am at the field house.  Many volunteers will be needed to make this a fun, safe experience for our kids.  Your kid isn't a junior? That's ok. You can still volunteer to see what After-Prom will look like when your child gets there.  If the late hours won't work for you, we also need volunteers to set up Friday night and Saturday and for clean up on Sunday. Student Culture Surveys

This Spring we are going to have students complete a school culture survey. The results of this survey will be used to identify our school's strengths and areas of needed improvement regarding our school  climate and culture. Students will be asked to sign in to their Stargate Google Account to restrict responses to only Stargate students, email addresses will not be collected and results will be collected anonymously. Results will help Stargate Staff and Stargate student leaders make improvements to our school culture and climate. High school students will take this survey in Adroit in April and middle school students will take this survey in Connect in April.

Okay adults, here's your chance. Maybe you have a secret desire to play Jeopardy. Perhaps you want to relive your High School Knowledge Bowl glory days. Or could it be that you just want to have some fun and challenge that big brain of yours in the process? Stargate is hosting its first annual Battle of the Brains on April 14th, from 12:00-4:00. Check out the Battle of the Brains website and get your team together today!

We hope to see everyone there!

Stargate Spring Musical - Grease

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding "T-Birds" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'," "Born To Hand Jive", "It's Raining on Prom Night," "Alone at the Drive-In Movie", and "Hopelessly Devoted To You", recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the world's most popular musicals.

Tickets will available online beginning at noon March 19, 2018 Here is the link:  stargateco.booktix.com/

High School Knowledge Bowl State Champions

Knowledge Bowl has a long competition season, from September through March. The season culminated in the exciting but mentally grueling two day State Tournament at CSU Fort Collins earlier last week. At the end of the tournament, Stargate emerged victorious, bringing home our first ever high school state championship!

Our state championship Knowledge Bowl competitors were Aditya Shankarling, Jacob Tow, Miles Claver, and Nathan Kulhanek.

Science Olympiad

The Science Olympiad Team competed at the Northern Regionals on Saturday February 24.  There were over 40 teams there from all over the Northern part of the state including local schools and teams from as far away as Steamboat Springs.  The Stargate team won the 4th place trophy overall! We were only 12 points away from taking 3rd. The overall team score was the highest Stargate has ever received at this difficult competition!  Several students also won medals in their individual events.

There are 23 different science events that the team of 15 students must master.

Congratulations to Quan Nguyen, Kayvan Kalantar, Conor McVeigh, Senan Heys, Anoushka Jani, Megha Kumar, Anushka Udeshi, Megan Dibonas, Sydney Heys, Lynne Nguyen, Laya Palutla, Deeksha Gaddam, Michele Ngo, Ariya Gowda, and Anika Gowda.  We wish them best of luck at the State Competition on April 21!

Here are some highlights!
