Hello Stargate Families,

It is nice to be in our second full week of school as students and staff are all settling in to our routines and procedures. I am excited to see everyone at Curriculum Night tomorrow and for you to experience all the great things happening in our classrooms this year. The beginning of the school year is a great time for students to be involved in a sport, club or activity. Please have conversations with your student about getting involved.

Rise above,

Rob Cable

Secondary Principal

Curriculum Night

Tuesday, August 28th is Curriculum Night for parents and guardians. From 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm, parents/guardians will go to  your student’s classes for eight minutes each to hear from teachers. There will be a Middle School Parent/Guardian orientation from 5:30pm - 6:00pm and a High School parent/guardian orientation from 7:30pm - 8:00pm in the Commons. As the focus of this event is for parents/guardians, students do not need to attend. Please bring a copy of your student’s schedule. If your Middle School student has an “A” day and “B” day class during one of the periods, meet in the library during that period to talk with those teachers. If your High School student has an “Off” period, you are welcome to spend that time in the Commons. While it was great to see students at Back To School Night to meet their teachers, we ask that for Curriculum Night, you come without your student as space in classrooms is limited.

WIFI Update

Last week, the wifi on our campus was intermittent and today it was not working. Our IT Department is actively seeking solutions to resolve the issues as technology is a large part of what we do at Stargate. We are working with our teachers to provide the support they need so our students continue learning in our classrooms until this is resolved.
