BB Racers Middle School Running Club

Who: Students in 6-8 grade, any athletic shape (yes, even couch potatoes)

When: Monday and Thursday starting April 10, from 3:45-5:00pm

Where: Meet in Mrs. Bishop’s room after school (Secondary Rm 258)

Why: Fun, friends, fresh air, training for the Bolder Boulder 10k

What: Every practice will consist of a warm-up, main run, cool-down, and stretching. The overall goal is to train for the Bolder Boulder 10k on Memorial Day in Boulder, but you don’t have to run the Bolder Boulder if you don’t want to, you can just run in the club.  We also love eating popsicles, finding “treasure” in the grass, and having occasional fun runs like scavenger hunts, Wendy’s runs, and massive games of Infection.

Cost: $30 club fee plus $35 Bolder Boulder Race Registration

  • Register for the BB Racers club NOW using the Google Form (deadline is April 10, 2017)

  • Register for the Bolder Boulder 10k NOW using this BB Racers link (deadline is May 1, 2017); see handout from Mrs. Bishop at club meetings or front office

Note to Parents:  Any K-8 student can register for the Bolder Boulder as a BB Racer for a discounted race price of only $35 by May 1.  Parents are also welcome to register and run with the Stargate Team and run with their kids (although no discount for non-students).  There is a $30 club fee and an additional $35 registration fee for the Bolder Boulder which can both be paid online during the registration process.  Students not running the Bolder Boulder do not need to register and pay the additional $35 race fee.  However, if money is an issue, please consider applying for a scholarship, we don’t want any kids to miss out due to fees! See Mrs. Bishop or visit the official BB Racers website for more general information:
