Playground Equipment

Over the summer of 2017 the Stargate maintenance and operations group will be working to upgrade and add to the outdoor exercise and play equipment for students to use during recess as well as before and after school.

The overall plan calls for the installation of basketball hoops, modification of basketball hoops in the Elementary gymnasium, the installation of several tetherball poles, a new play structure, two GaGa ball pits, a double zipline, and artificial turf in the courtyard spaces behind the Elementary Building.

Installation of adjustable height basketball goals is scheduled to take place inside the Elementary gymnasium in August 2017.

Tetherball Poles Outside Primary Building

Tetherball poles have been installed in several opportunistic locations across campus. There are three new poles just to the east of the secondary building, toward the north. There are another three new poles just west of the Kindie-Cage area behind the Elementary building.
GaGa Ball is a new playground sport that is rising quickly in popularity. The Stargate maintenance and operations group will be building two GaGa Ball pits for our students to enjoy. Below is an example of what a GaGa Ball pit looks like.

Also planned for installation during the summer of 2017 is a new double sloped zipline similar to the ones pictured here.

Installation of the new play structure in the elementary school playground has been completed.

The new structure includes steps, platforms, a climbing wall, monkey bars, and, yes, a slide!

In response to popular demand, a set of pull up bars has also been added to the expanded wood chip play area as well.
