A little about me!
I have been married for twenty four years (hooray), and have two children, a daughter, 19 and a son, 16. Both my children have been fortunate enough to attend Stargate, so I have been a part of this incredible community since 2005. I have 9 years of substitute teaching experience at Stargate, with fourteen years altogether.  This is my fifth year full-time at Stargate.
During free time I love to read, bike, swim, raft/kayak, play the trumpet and listen to music, ride roller coasters, and spend time with my family.

What I Love about Teaching
What excites me the most about teaching is seeing the "Aha" moment when a child understands or gets really excited about something for the first time. Patterns are interesting to me and finding the connections between lots of things to help retain memory in those neural pathways! I enjoy being a lifelong learner, and am naturally curious about nature.

Blogging:
 I will be creating three blogs (which are highlighted below).  They cover Theme, Literary Arts, and Math.  I will do my best to complete the weekly blog by Monday afternoon. 
All of my blogs support RSS, so you can watch just the blogs that interest you by subscribing to them on the blog pages.
I will also communicate via Infinite Campus Teacher Messenger when essential information must be sent quickly.

Grading:
 I will keep all grades on Infinite Campus which you can access from the menu, which I will do my best to update weekly.  All other information is on my project pages or my blogs.
