About Me
My two boys, my mom and myself          My boys and I at a Rockies game           Our new puppy Rex        My boys and I at a Broncos game

I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing Stargate community! So a little about me... first off, I am a proud mother of two incredible twin boys, who also attend Stargate! I have been in education since 2008. I’ve worked for Denver Public Schools, Adams 12 Five Star Schools as well as a Montessori school. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Colorado majoring in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement for teaching second language learners. Also, I am continuing my education at UNC in School Counseling. I have a passion for mental health and teaching social-emotional skills. Working with kids every day brings me so much joy and is so fulfilling! I look forward to my first year here at Stargate, it will be a great one!

When I am not at school or doing homework, you can find me at home baking and trying new recipes, playing with our new puppy Rex, as well as reading or doing yoga. My boys and I love going to sporting events. Go Rockies! They play competitive baseball so I spend most my free time as a sports mom in the fall and spring time. We enjoy hiking, fishing, camping and watching new movies, especially Marvel movies!

What I Love about Teaching

What I love the most about teaching is watching my students grow both physically and academically throughout the year! I love connecting with my students and families, and helping kids build a passion for becoming life-long learners! Teaching keeps me young at heart and on my toes!
