About Me
Welcome to my Blog!  My name is Mrs. Ross, and the 2018-2019 school year will be my seventh year teaching at Stargate, and I am so excited to be working with such a wonderful team and amazing gifted children! I graduated from Metropolitan State College with a BA in Behavioral Science and a minor in Elementary Education.  This summer I completed my Gifted Endorsement and plan to continue my education in gifted studies. Before I came to Stargate, I taught preschool at a neighboring Montessori school for 4 years.  There, I learned that each student is a unique individual that has individual needs and learning styles. I still keep in touch with many of the families.

I am a Colorado native and recently celebrated my 7th anniversary with my husband, Jamie.  I also have a 3 year old son, Odin.  Odin takes up most of our time, but we love to hike, bicycle, camp, and explore Colorado to the fullest together as a family. This summer our family took a trip to Pennsylvania and upstate NY to visit family.  We had a great time exploring that side of the country, including Niagara Falls.  I consider myself to be a life long learner; I enjoy learning about and doing new things.  I am a major Bronco Fan and enjoy watching and attending games. Every summer I plant a garden- this year we had jalapenos, Serrano peppers, tomatoes, and strawberries!
