This week the boys and girls will learn about positional words to describe the placement of real-world shapes. Understanding and using positional words is an important part of developing children’s spatial sense.  They will learn that people use positional or location words to tell where they are as they navigate the world. Following and giving directions require the use of positional words.

The goal is to have our chapter 10 assessment on Monday, 4/22.

Homework: Please have your child login to their Think Central account and complete the two assignments listed below.

Mid-Chapter checkpoint (4 questions)

Pre-test ( 10 questions) I would suggest doing this on Sunday :)

Have a great week,

Welcome to chapter 10. This will be a quick chapter as we delve into three-dimensional shapes and positional words.  The boys and girls will use informal language to describe the attributes of the 3-D shapes such as: curved surface or flat surface. They will also be presented with a variety of shapes and determine whether they are two-dimensional or three-dimensional. They will use many hands-on approaches to build this information.

Homework for the week: Please have your child login to their ThinkCentral account and complete the following assignments. All homework is due on Sunday.
10.2
10.4

Have a great week,
