This is my sixth year at Stargate! I absolutely love teaching kindergarten and, besides being a mom someday, I can't imagine anything else I'd rather do!
After moving from Chicago to Boulder for college, I received my teaching license in elementary education from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Early Childhood Education and will graduate in April! Additionally, I am taking graduate courses leading to a K-12 endorsement in Gifted and Talented Education. I have spent summers in Ecuador and Bangladesh working with children of various ages. I love that no matter where I am around the world, there remains a joy in children that is pure, beautiful, and brings hope.
“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.”-Angela Schwindt
I love surrounding myself with little ones, specifically in the classroom. I love the questions they ask, the stories they tell, the excitement and eagerness they have when they are learning new things and the exploration that follows. I love watching their process from confusion or uncertainty to figuring something out- those “ah hah” moments. I love watching them soak new things in like a sponge and that there is always something new to teach. I love the constant challenge that teaching is- always an opportunity to strive to be better.
Specifically, I love teaching kindergarten because we are the first elementary grade teachers to make an impact on our students. It is my passion to be a teacher that instills a lifelong love of learning in the little ones I teach.

Most often, I can
be seen with Starbucks in my hand. I try and convince myself I am not addicted,
but I am. I love spending time with family, friends & my pup, driving with the windows
down listening to country and bluegrass, and wearing scarves. I enjoy the little things
in life: catching fireflies, dancing in the rain, laughing until my stomach
hurts and finding good in everyone.
Quite possibly my favorite quote: "Speak ill of no man, but speak all the good you know of everybody." -Benjamin Franklin
I'm a huge Cubbies fan, hence my dog's name. ;) Grateful I got to see them break that curse in my lifetime!
About Our Para:
Mrs. Noelia Clingman is our kindergarten paraprofessional. She has been a valuable member of the Stargate kindergarten community. This will be her eighth year working in kindergarten. This year she is looking forward to working along side Ms. Peters, and having a great year with your kids. Outside of school Mrs. Clingman enjoys traveling, crafts and loves the Colorado Rockies. Mrs. Clingman has three children… Austin, is currently in training with the US Navy and at the end of the year will be working on a submarine. Colton is starting his sophomore year of college at Grand Canyon University, in Phoenix. Lauren is starting her sophomore year at Holy Family and is looking forward to getting her license in early 2019.
