Mrs. Bowman

About Me:

I love being part of the Stargate community! This will be my third year at Stargate and my eighth year of teaching overall. In the past, I have taught junior kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I have six years of experience working with gifted students. I'm originally from Red Lake Falls, Minnesota but have happily called Colorado my home for the past six years. I graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Master's degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with minors in Psychology and Special Education. I am currently taking classes, along with many of my Stargate colleagues, to obtain my Gifted Endorsement.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, biking, running, volunteering and coaching Girls on the Run! I have been married to my amazing husband for five years. Our miniature poodle, Bauer, brings us so much love and joy.

What I Love about Teaching Kindergarten:

Kindergarten is an exciting time as children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. I only have the opportunity to work with your child for a short period of time in his/her life and I want to make a contribution that will last a lifetime. I have a passion for helping students reach their fullest potential and strive to instill a love of learning that will last throughout your child's years of schooling.

About Our Para:

Mrs. Gregory is our kindergarten paraprofessional. She is a true asset to our kindergarten team. This will be her 4th year as a kindergarten para at Stargate. Working with kindies every day and watching them learn and grow is her passion. She feels privileged to work with such amazing students and looks forward to this school year! Mrs. Gregory has a degree in Respiratory Therapy. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist with Flight for Life for 11 years prior to joining the Stargate family. She has a wonderful husband and two daughters that also attend Stargate. One is in 3rd grade and the other is in 8th grade. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with friends, family and her large assortment of pets.
