Mrs. Walls

About Me
My name is Melanie Walls. The 2018-2019 school year will be my third year as a teacher at Stargate,
but I have been apart of the Stargate community for many years. I attended Stargate as a student for my 4th - 8th grade years and returned in 2012 to
work as a site leader for Eagle's Landing and as a substitute teacher.
My husband and I visiting the Grand Canyon. My husband and I posing with Snow White at Disney Land.

My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction both from the University of Colorado Denver.  In addition to my elementary teaching license, I hold endorsements in Gifted Education, Special Education, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education. I strongly believe in differentiating my instruction to best meet the needs of all my diverse learners.

In my free time I love to cook and bake, specifically decorating cookies!  I also love to spend time with my husband, Joe, and our two crazy puppies.  Bailey is our 9 month old golden retriever, and Ella is our 7 month old Welsh Corgi.  First grade is such an exciting grade with so much growth both academically and emotionally.  I am thrilled for this school year and to continue my teaching career at Stargate!

All of my blogs support RSS, so you can watch just the blogs that interest you by subscribing to them on the blog pages.

Grading:
I keep all grades on Infinite Campus which you can access from the menu. Grades will be updated weekly.  If the score is blank, the assignment has not yet been entered. If you have any questions or concerns regarding grades whatsoever, please feel free to contact me.
