About Me
This is my fourth year teaching at Stargate School. I am a proud graduate of Metropolitan University of Denver, where I was awarded my degree in Human Development with a minor in Elementary Education. Having two children that attend Stargate, the gifted student is close to my heart. I am thankful to have been part of this unique community for the past ten years.

My husband of twenty (!) years and boys ages fifteen and eleven keep me busy but joyful. I have a fondness for a huge array of activities especially tennis, hiking, camping and swimming.

What I Love about Teaching
I delight in learning NEW things and to inspire learning in others. I think the world is an incredible place to explore from our earth with insects and plants; to the plains, mountains and solar systems. I find it very rewarding to see children discover anything new. I especially treasure when students see their
perseverance has produces results.

Blogging:
I will be writing three blogs weekly to keep you informed of what we are working on in the classroom. Checking the blogs weekly will help you to reinforce the learning that we are doing in class, and keep up with any changes of schedule or assignments for home enjoyment.  My blogs will be for Literacy, Math, and Theme (which include Social Studies,Science and Homeroom).  All of my blogs support RSS, so you can watch just the blogs that interest you by subscribing to them on the blog pages.

Grading:
Grades will be posted weekly on Infinite Campus which you can access from the main menu.

Favorite Quotes:

"Only a life lived for others, is a life worthwhile." Albert Einstein

"If you want to be respected for your actions, then your behavior must be above reproach. I learned from my grandmother and mother that one should always respect oneself and live right. This is how you gain the respect of others. If our lives demonstrate that we are peaceful, humble and trusted this is recognized by others. If our lives demonstrate something else, that will be noticed too." Rosa Parks.

Some of my favorite things! See if you have any in common.....Green Tea Latte! Reading books, watching movies, and exercise-all kinds. The color red, hearts, and Valentine's Day (my favorite holiday). Animals! My dog is a rottweiler.
