About Me
I am a Colorado native and grew up very close to here in Northglenn. I am one of six kids  - four boys and two girls. As a kid, I was always hanging out, playing sports, and trying to keep up with my three older brothers. I guess that's the reason I love sports so much. I play soccer and volleyball all of the time and will join in on just about any other sport I am asked to play. You could say I am a sports fanatic! Go Rapids! Go Broncos! Go Rockies! I love the outdoors and spend much of my of my time in the summer camping, hiking and gardening. Yes, I know it's kind of strange, I even like to mow the lawn. During the winter, I ski as much as possible.

I have been married to my husband, Kevin, for 33 awesome years. We have three children. Forrest, our oldest, is a math teacher at Legacy High School and just married a wonderful lady, Taylor, this past summer. We're so happy to have her as an addition to our family. Our daughter, Morgan, also works here at Stargate as a paraprofessional in learning services in the Secondary building, while raising our granddaughter, Cadance, who is six-years old. Our youngest son, Sawyer, just moved away to California for a job at Google. Quite a few changes in our lives over the summer!

What I Love about Teaching

Kids! Kids! Kids!

Teaching is my second career. I have a bachelor's degree in accounting and spent many years behind a desk keeping track of other people's money, not enjoying it very much. After realizing that I really enjoy working with kids, I went back to school and earned a master's degree in elementary education. I was fortunate to get my first job in education teaching third and fourth grade at Stargate and here I am, still loving every bit of it. This year will be my twelfth year of teaching and the sixth year working with the fifth graders.
