Week of December 7

This week we will continue our last Dynamic Earth Unit, The Restless Earth.  The idea of this unit is the movement of tectonic plates accounts for important features of Earth's surface and major geologic events.

Tuesday: Check homework. Quiz on Lesson 3. Modeling Mountains activity.
Wednesday: Model lava activity.
Thursday: Check homework. Quiz on Lesson 4. Modeling an explosive eruption activity. Link to activity.  http://www.thenakedscientists.com/HTML/experiments/exp/flour-volcano/ 
                Students may complete this activity for extra credit.  They need to make a video and send it to me.
Friday: Earthquake vibrations activity.  Students will receive instructions on the project they will complete instead of a test.  It will revolve around a restless earth party and is due Thursday, December 17. Please see the attached file below.

All missing assignments pertaining to The Dynamic Earth Units 4 are due Thursday, December 17. This is the end of the semester.
