This week students will continue their personal narrative.  They will complete activities to help them focus on their writing, especially what they see and observe.
Monday: Choose the story for your personal narrative. Verbally retell this unforgettable story to a group, while the group takes notes.
Tuesday: Write notes about your unforgettable personal narrative, especially what you saw and heard.
Wednesday-Friday: Keystone Science School

For the next month, students will focus on prepositions.  They will be required to memorize all 53 prepositions.  Here are links to a couple of videos using song and motion to learn the prepositions.Their next quiz will be after Keystone on Sept 23.

Students have been given an assignment they will continue all year.  They have set aside one of their composition books as a Writer's Notebook for use at home.  This is a place to record thoughts, ideas, pondering, wondering, observations, etc. They need to write in it 2 times a week for 20 minutes each time, which should consist of a page. They may also type their entries, but the typed pages must be cut neatly and glued or taped into the notebook. I will give them due dates each quarter with how many entries they should have.  The due date is Wednesday. October 14.  They should have 15 entries.

I will put all homework assignments on my calendar at the bottom of the page. Please check it daily.
