This week will focus on writing.  Students will continue to work on their personal narrative about their hopes, dreams, and fears about their transition into middle school.  They will revise and edit their narratives with a partner, adding more thoughts and feelings.  They will write their final copy in class by hand and it will be due at the beginning of class on Friday.  On that day they will share one paragraph from their writing with the class. On Wednesday we will check the vocabulary words to be sure all definitions are correct.  The test over the words will be next Wednesday, September 10.

Students should be working on their Writer's Notebooks at home.  This is a place to record thoughts, ideas, pondering, wondering, observations, etc. They need to write in it 2 times a week for 10 minutes (Period 5) or 20 minutes (Period 6) each time.  The notebook will be due September 26.  They should have 10 entries.

I will put all homework assignments on my calendar at the bottom of the page. Please check it daily.

Currently I do not have access to Infinite Campus.  I will let you know when I do receive access.
