On Monday, students finished presenting their Holes projects to the class.  All of the projects were creative and students enjoyed listening to each other, and asked a lot of good questions.

On Tuesday, students will begin working on an argument paper centered around Holes and either juvenile detention or the homeless.  This will be an in-class assignment and will be due November 7.

Vocabulary list 4 Test will be on Wednesday.  Students will also receive their new list of words.  These words will be vocabulary from Holes.

Students should be working on their Writer's Notebooks at home.  This is a place to record thoughts, ideas, pondering, wondering, observations, etc. They need to write in it 2 times a week for 10 minutes (Period 5) or 20 minutes (Period 6) each time. These are due Friday, November 7.  They should have 10 more entries for a total of 20 entries.

I will put all homework assignments on my calendar at the bottom of the page. Please check it daily. If you cannot see the calendar, have your child look at their Google calendars as I have shared my assignment calendar with them.

It's Gifted Discussion Group Week and our staff is so excited for our 2nd session with our kiddos! Please take time after school on Wednesday to dialogue with your child(ren) about topics they discussed in their small groups. This is a great chance for staff and families to make our student's social-emotional health a priority.
