You're Invited!

This Thursday, May 3rd, we will be hosting a Poetry Coffeehouse in Room 156 from 8:30am - 9:30am! We will enjoy a light breakfast, drinks, and poems written by students in our class. All wanted donations for our event are listed in the signup below...

Our main focus this week will be on our content reports. We will be working on a cross curricular prompt where students will be researching a planet and writing about it in literacy. Each student has been assigned a planet already and they have written that planet in their planner for reference. Since we have limited computer availability at school, each student is responsible for bringing in their own text. They can bring in reliable printed sources offline or check books out of a local library. They needed to bring in their resources by Wednesday, April 25th. Students will be deducted a letter grade for this assignment under Responsibility each day it is late.

All students are currently reading "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes". Students are encouraged to fold paper cranes at home and bring them into class.

Important Dates:

May 3rd - Poetry Coffeehouse
May 4th: Assessment Day (8:00am-10:00am)
