Hello everyone and welcome to my math blog! I am VERY excited to have all of you onboard with me this year. :)

This week the students will begin with a cumulative assessment of what they have learned in 2A/2B. This will be a great starting point for me to determine what material we will need to review this week before diving into 3A/3B! I expect that we will be starting our first unit by the end of this week. Unit one covers numbers to 10,000. We will begin the unit by working with 4-digit numbers.

*We are working at getting accounts set up on IXL for each student. I will be sure to update you when that information becomes available.

*If you are interested in volunteering in our math class, please feel free to sign up using this link…

Dinner Table Talking Points

We know that kids often say they have nothing to talk about when asked about their day at school. Here are a few suggestions to help get them talking about what they learned and experienced this week. Ask your child...

1. To tell you about their flip quiz review game.

2. To tell you how their 2A/2B assessment went.

3. To tell you how many hundreds are in one thousand.

4. To tell you what 5,790 is in "expanded form".

5. To tell you about the class gem jar! :)
