This week we will continue working through Unit 2. We will complete our Chapter 1 test, discuss comparison and part-whole models, and analyze sums and differences using greater than and less than.  

So far, our math race has been a success! The students have been very engaged and excited about it. Here are some games your child can play at home to better prepare them for their race...

We know that kids often say they have nothing to talk about when asked about their day at school. Here are a few suggestions to help get them talking about what they learned and experienced this week. Ask your child...

1. To show you how to solve a problem using a comparison model.

2. To define "difference".

3. To tell you what level they are on in their math race.

4. To tell you about the 1-9 card games they have been playing in class.
