This week the students will begin Unit 12 on Geometry. We will begin by discussing and analyzing different angles, distinguishing the difference between scalene, isosceles, right, and equilateral triangles, and reviewing solid figures.

We know that kids often say they have nothing to talk about when asked about their day at school. Here are a few suggestions to help get them talking about what they learned and experienced this week. Ask your child...

1. To draw you an equilateral, scalene, isosceles, and triangle.

2. To tell you what a polygon is.

3. To show you the surfaces, vertices, and edges on an object at home.

4. To tell you what their favorite part of the zoo was.
