This week the students will cover the last unit of the year...Area, Perimeter, & Volume! We will find the area of a figure using square units, measure the perimeter of various figures, and find the volume of a solid in cubic units.

Dinner Table Talking Points

We know that kids often say they have nothing to talk about when asked about their day at school. Here are a few suggestions to help get them talking about what they learned and experienced this week. Ask your child...

1. To define "area" (amount of flat space an object covers).

2. To define "perimeter" (distance around).

3. To tell you how well they did on their Unit 12 assessment.

4. To tell you what their favorite part of field day was!
