This week the students will cover the last unit of the year...Area, Perimeter, & Volume! We will find the area of a figure using square units, measure the perimeter of various figures, and find the volume of a solid in cubic units.

This week the students will begin Unit 12 on Geometry. We will begin by discussing and analyzing different angles, distinguishing the difference between scalene, isosceles, right, and equilateral triangles, and reviewing solid figures.

Math is going to be incredibly short this week. With all of the testing going on, we only have two days of class! In those two days, we will review and test Unit 10.

This week we will continue working with fractions. We will make equivalent fractions using division, find the "simplest form" of a fraction, compare and order fractions, and add and subtract fractions with like denominators.

This week we will begin Unit 10 on Fractions! We will make a whole with fractions, compare and order fractions with a common numerator and denominator, and recognize equivalent fractions.

This week the students will convert grams to kilograms and kilograms to grams, add/subtract various weights with kilograms and grams, convert pounds to ounces and ounces to pounds, add/subtract various weights with ounces and pounds, convert liters to milliliters and milliliters to liters, add/subtract milliliters and liters, and work with problems involving gallons, quarts, pints, and cups.

This week we will continue working on our unit on length. We will work with converting, measuring, adding, and subtracting yards, feet, and inches. If time allows, we will begin chapter four on miles.
