Due to the Dr. Suess fun last week, we will continue working through our informational writing pieces and finishing up our nonfiction texts in reading group. Time permitting, we will start a new unit on realistic fiction!

The students will receive a new reading log and and new spelling list for the week. The reading log will be due Friday, March 10th. Their spelling test will not be until Friday, March 17th.

*All students who earned their free personal pizza received their ticket last Friday. Please look for your child's in their homework folder.*

Dinner Table Talking Points

We know that kids often say they have nothing to talk about when asked about their day at school. Here are a few suggestions to help get them talking about what they learned and experienced this week. Ask your child...

1. To tell you one fact about Dr. Suess from last week.

2. To tell you what their favorite Dr. Suess book was from last week.

3. To tell you what "realistic fiction" is.

4. To tell you what an "adjective" is.
