All classes:Summer Reading Advertisement Program - this is what you will do once you have finished your approved choice book.  If you have not had your choice book approved yet, that needs to happen ASAP.  You will need to create a Prezi account on prezi.com to create your presentation. Your presentation needs to include a summary of the book, a recommendation of who/what type of reader should read this book, a rating with a chosen rating scale.  Other pieces that you may want to include would be reviews from other places, book trailers, you could act out a scene from the book, an interview, etc.  Remember that you are advertising this book to us to read.  Also remember more pictures, less words - the prezi is a companion to you presenting. Once everyone has presented, we will have a summer reading list of recommended books from our peers. These will be due May 11 in class.  We will start presenting on that day.

WN: 61 entries by 5/1.  We will have a check once we get to 65.

L2:  We will be doing work with non-fiction comprehension with Junior Scholastic magazines.  We will also be doing Fast Forward Fairy Tales - more information in class.

L3:  We will continue reading Romeo and Juliet.  We will also continue to discuss the four motifs as well as author's purpose. It's all downhill from here.  :)

Remember your sack lunch for the field trip on Friday and your walking shoes for the Walk to Stop Diabetes walk on Wednesday.  Also Thursday is take your child to work day.

Electives: Don't forget this week is Zumba - dress accordingly and bring a change of clothes if you wish.

Have a great week. :)
