To refamiliarize ourselves with the format of the PARCC test we will be doing the on-line practice test.  You will need to use a browser other than Chrome to access the site because it does not work well with Chrome.  You will need to choose the appropriate grade level and do both practice tests.

The site is: http://parcc.pearson.com/practice-tests/

You will need to go to this site and take the practice test - do not spend time trying to get the answers correct, your purpose is to look at and understand the format and how to navigate the test.  Once you have gone all of the way through the test, you will need to print the last page, have your parents sign it and turn it in for a responsibility grade. To see how you will be scored, check out the rubric page:

PARCC SCORING RUBRIC FOR PROSE CONSTRUCTED RESPONSE ITEMS Grade 6-9 - http://parcc.pearson.com/resources/practice-tests/english/Grade6-11-ELA-LiteracyScoringRubric-July2015.pdf

If you want to read through a navigation tutorial go here:

You will need to do the practice tests and turn the pages in by Friday, March 11.

L2- We will be presenting our scenes from our Avi books this week.  We will also be taking a placement test with the rest of the middle school English classes so that everyone at Stargate for next year, incoming and returning, will be on the same page for assessment.

L3- We will be presenting our IQ movies this week. I am excited to see all of your hard work.  We will also be taking a placement test with the rest of the middle school English classes so that everyone at Stargate for next year, incoming and returning, will be on the same page for assessment.

WN- you need 49 entries by 3/13
