We will be presenting our book scenes this week as well as our Prezis.  Remember, your Prezi is a companion to your talk.  As we talked about and viewed in class, visuals stick with you more and when it comes to words, less is more.  Using key words or quotes from the book on your slides are good talking points for you to advertise the book.  If you are doing a movie trailor or podcast, you may want to include it into a few slide Prezi so it feels more polished and put together. The original sheet is attached to my blog for the last week in February, if you need it.

We will be discussing our observations of our authors this week also.

We will have a Writer's Notebook check this week.  Period 6 will be Tuesday, March 17; Period 5 will be Wednesday, March 18; Period 4 and Period 3 will be Thursday, March 19.  Please have your notebook with entries numbered here for me to check.  Remember if there are entries that you especially want me to read, put a star on the top/next to the number of the entry. Conversely, if there is an entry that you don't want me to read, fold it over.  Remember I will open it to make sure there is writing there, but I will not read it.

We will do a fun writing project when we return from Spring Break.

Electives this week: Reading our first story and learning the finer points of Reader's Theatre.

Have a happy and safe Spring Break!
