Staff Devpt. Day Fri: no school
This week the students are finishing up looking at different artworks from 8 different perspectives. They are using different viewpoints to write poetry stanzas. Their favorite of the 4 artworks will be sketched along with their favorite poem (with alliteration, personification, and onomatopeia hopefully) and bound together for a poetry keepsake.
At home students should be looking for a book to read on their own, and then do an individual short book review for the class. Thursday is the last day to submit their title to me (no duplicates in the room, or super-popular series like Twilight, Hunger Games, Harry Potter). Unfortunately the school library closes on Fri. so they can't use it. At the end the goal is to have a summer reading list for the students. Mrs Root has hundreds of books if they would like to borrow a class book.
