Topics
  • Chapter 9
    • Probability of Simple Events
    • Fair and Unfair Games
    • Theoretical and Experimental Probability
    • Probability of Compound Events

Homework
  • Next Tuesday, students will have a game day to test their individual probability calculations. More information will come home with the students regarding this activity. We modeled and tested a few ways to incorporate probability into their games in class today (i.e. dice, coins, candy, spinners). Students will make predictions and need to calculate probable outcomes, and them have a process in which to test it with other students.
  • Homework is contingent upon each individual demonstration of understanding; please see planners for specific assignments. If you feel that your child may benefit from additional practice, he/she is always permitted to complete the entire independent practice, even when only odd numbers were assigned.

Assessment
  • Check-in quiz on Lessons 1-3 of Chapter 9
    • Friday 4-14-17
