Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! birthdays are great!
This week we are continuing to work on To Kill a Mockingbird. We have been moving at a steady pace, not slowing down for much analysis; however, this is a heady book with some difficult topics of racism and segregation. We have talked some in class about the societal issues that impact the story but will spend more time talking about it after Thanksgiving break. By the end of Thanksgiving break, students should finish the story. If they are unable to finish the story, they should email to let me know prior to the end of break.

Some students have already seen parallels between Atticus and Martin Luther King, Jem and Katniss from the Hunger Games, and so on.

Enjoy your break!

Ms. Krill
