Welcome back! The Thanksgiving Break is a reminder of all that we have to be thankful for- good friends, family, health, a good education and good work. Thank you all for being part of the Stargate Community and for making our school and our work, our home.

Language Arts 4
We finished To Kill a Mockingbird. Harper Lee's novel certainly gives us a lot to talk about. This week student's will be discussing the strengths of the novel, studying a couple of the writer's craft techniques and working on our project. Because the book is relevant as a work of literature and as a reflection of society, students can choose their projects. Project choices include topics around the story and social issues such as segregation and the justice system. Please discuss your child's project with them.

Monday - discuss the end of the book and why Mr. Tate said that he would not investigate Mr. Ewell's "accidental" death.
Tuesday - discuss possible possible projects and begin research/ work
Wednesday - project work
Thursday - Multiple choice and Essay test.
Friday - project work.

Projects are due Monday - December 15.

Remember - next week we will not have class on December 12 because of the field trip to the Courthouse.
