Month of May

There is so much going on at this time of year! We will do our best to keep up and keep current.
Please note that all 8th grade presentations have been shared with the kiddos via their google calendars. Several students have asked to move their presentations and the time are quickly filling up. Presentations are from May 4- May 15 in Ms. Krill's room
I am doing my best to get grades entered quickly. I am posting grades daily. Please keep an eye on Infinite Campus. 

May 4 - Discussion about Of Mice and Men. Guiding Question: Did George have to do what he did? What are some of the possible layers of meaning in this book?
May 5 - The Gettysburg Address (a social studies/lit crossover study)
May 6 - Understanding the title of the work. 
May 7  - Understanding Steinbeck's writing style. 
May 8 - no school for kiddos

May 11- Creative Writing
May 12 - Creative Writing
May 13 - (many kids will be helping with Field day) writing
May 14 - (many kiddos will be at Elitch's for Band/Orchestra) 
May 15 - Present writing.  Please have all missing work turned in by end of day on May 15. 

May 18 - Wednesday schedule for the whole school - Yearbooks and Awards assembly begin at 1:00pm
May 19 - Last regular day of class. 
May 20 - Bowling field trip, Continuation practice. Last day of school for 8th graders. 1:30 dismissal. Continuation is at 6:30. Class photo is at 5:45.
May 21 - Last day of school for 7th graders. 11:30 dismissal.
