This week will be starting our last literature unit on biographies and auto-biographies. Our stories will come from survivors of World War II from Europe, the Pacific and US internments. I understand that these topics can be challenging for students. If they would like to choose a biography that does not involve such intense events, we can make arrangements.

April 13 - Finish Music as Poetry lesson. Sharing our music and finding the poetic devices that lyricists use when writing.
April 14 - a brief historical overview of the events that lead up to WWII.
April 15 - Civil War training. No class
April 16 - Book talks
April 17- Civil War training. No Class

April 20 -  No class. Finance Park
April 21- Book groups and Biography project assigned.
April 22 - Classes will be divided by CMAS tests. When students aren't testing they will have time to read their biographies.
April 23- Civil War simulation. No Class
April 24 - Group discussion. Read.
