We are winding down the year and have just one more project for Language Arts to go! Eighth Grade presentations start the week of May 5 and go through May 12. Each student has signed up for a 30 minute time slot. We have asked students to invite their parents, but realize that it can be challenging to coordinate schedules. If their is a scheduling conflict, please let me know and we can work together to find a time that works. If we can't figure a time that works for everyone, we will be happy to record their presentations and send you a CD.  This is a wonderful and stressful time for everyone. Let's work together to make sure that it is a positive experience.

Thank you to all of the eighth graders for the fantastic work that you did on your Inquiry Movies. We overcame many challenges, including all the nuances of the wide variety of software that was used, the finicky microphones, the wide range of formats that was used for submitting movies, and some glitches we never could figure out. The end products were outstanding. Thank you also to the parents and the administration for your support in overcoming the challenges, as well as scheduling accommodations.

The schedule coming up ..

May 5-12: Eight Grade presentations. Students can check their google calendars for times. Students are expected to attend regular classes unless they are presenting.

May 5 & 6: finish reviewing Inquiry movies.
May 7, 8, 9 & 12: creative writing
May 13: Eighth grade team building
May 14: Field Day
May 15: finalizing our creative writing piece, prep for Friday
May 16: share creative writing
May 19 & 20: finish up loose ends
May 21: bowling field trip and continuation
