Week of March 7

Congratulations! You have finished your Inquiry Movie or Prototype! This project has been challenging for many reasons (hopefully, technical issue weren't among the challenges!). Time management, creating focused and engaging narration, and finding visual images to represent or illustrate what you are talking about - those are some of the key goals. Parents, if your kiddo said to you on Sunday afternoon, Ms. Krill told us not to wait until late Sunday or to stay up all night or to panic and cry, they were telling the truth. Students, if you were unable to finish by today for whatever reason, please be sure to email so we can work on whatever it is that is in your way.

On another note, next week begins PARCC testing including the Language Arts tests (2). Although students have taken this online version of the test before, there are some new tools and question styles that students should be familiar with prior to the test. Students will need to go to the following link and take the test for their grade level (not their Language Arts level).   http://parcc.pearson.com/practice-tests/english/
There are two practice tests. Students need to take both tests and turn in a signed copy of the final page by Friday. Students who are opting out testing should see me individually.

This week...
Monday - Test taking reminders; Review movies/projects; DUE: Inquiry movies and prototypes
Tuesday- Midyear assessment (due in class); DUE: Grammar practice 5
Wednesday- Movie and Prototype reviews
ThursdayMovie and Prototype reviews
Friday: DUE- PARCC practicesMovie and Prototype reviews
