About Me:
This is my fourth year at Stargate and I am excited about the new year!  Before having the opportunity to relocate to Colorado, I taught third and fourth grade for thirteen years at a gifted and talented school in New Jersey.   I have also worked with ESL and middle school students teaching advanced reading and writing courses.  I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Kentucky, and thus love college basketball.  After obtaining my undergraduate degree, I went on to earn a Master’s in Education from Nova Southeastern University.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, 5-year-old son, and hound named Lucy.  I am looking forward to a great year!

What I Love about Teaching:
Creating lessons that inspire students to become life-long learners is my passion!  I love seeing students’ eyes light up when they discover new knowledge.  I find it rewarding when I hear my students discuss how the lessons I taught them in class will benefit them today and in the future.
