About Me
Welcome to my Blog!  My name is Mrs. Ross, I am a sixth year teacher at Stargate, and I am so excited to be working with such a wonderful team and amazing gifted children! I graduated from Metropolitan State College with a BA in Behavioral Science and a minor in Elementary Education and I will be starting a graduate program in the fall for Curriculum and Instruction.  I have also been taking Gifted Endorsement classes and plan to continue my education in gifted studies. Before I came to Stargate, I taught preschool at a neighboring Montessori school for 4 years.  There, I learned that each student is a unique individual that has individual needs and learning styles. I still keep in touch with many of the families.

I am a Colorado native and recently celebrated my 6th anniversary with my husband, Jamie.  I also have a 2 year old son, Odin.  Odin takes up most of our time, but we love to hike, bicycle, camp, and explore Colorado to the fullest together as a family. I recently began exploring the world of rock climbing (mostly indoors) and I am loving the challenges that come along with it!  I consider myself to be a life long learner; I enjoy learning about and doing new things.  I am a major Bronco Fan and enjoy watching and attending games. Every summer I plant a garden- this year we had jalapenos, Serrano peppers, tomatoes, and strawberries!
